Many doctors save lives, but this chiropractor changes the lives of people living in constant pain. Dr Ian Rossborough has been a chiropractor in Melbourne, Australia, for several years and has treated hundreds of patients.
He has been a health care professional for over 30 years. He originally was a nurse but his desire to help people find the true cause of their problems through a natural means led him to become a Chiropractor. He has 5 beautiful daughters and 1 son and has a background in Yoga and martial arts.
Ian is very passionate about helping out people through his Gonstead Chiropractic Technique.
Transformation of Mun From America
Muntathar Altaii, from America, was suffering problems with his back for three months, and was left unable to stand up straight for long periods of time. He also had a numb sensation in his right leg.
Chiropractors in the United States wouldn’t help him, so he took matters into his own hands and contacted Dr. Ian at Gonsted Chiropractic. Dr. Ian agreed to take him on, and he made the long journey to Australia.
Mun travelled to Australia as a last chance at looking for medical help when he met Dr Ian to see if he could help Mun who’d nearly given up all hope of getting better, after months of laying in bed, not be able to do anything except take pain medication.
Mun walked with an extreme stoop, and when Dr. Ian examined him using a very light touch, the pain on his face was obvious.
Dr. Ian also tested his right leg – with Mun unable to feel when the doctor ran a stick up and down it.
He said: “I said I didn’t even wanna like live anymore because of my back, I can’t even walk anymore, I’m always in pain.”
Dr Ian performed some X-rays and was able to see the best way to help Mun – this was through correction and spinal reformation.
After only one day of treatment Mun was able to experience the best night’s sleep he’s had since the incident three months earlier.
He said: “It was so embarrassing, but after now its like I’m so happy.”
After ten days of treatment Mun was standing taller than Dr Ian – Mun was clearly very happy with the treatment, but not quite as much as his dad who burst into tears upon seeing his son walking upright.
As his head fell into his hands he said: “I don’t believe it!”
Mun had made an unbelievable transformation, from hardly being able to walk, bent double, with a curved spine, to a happy, tall young man – who probably won’t be pulling any tree roots any time soon.
He was diagnosed with extreme kyphosis, which although serious, was not incurable.
In fact, the doctor only had to perform three back corrections to get Mun standing up and walking properly.
After the first correction, Mun went home and on returning to the practice the next day, revealed he had slept properly for he first time in months.
The doctor felt he still had pressure in his neck, so he performed another correction.
Almost immediately, Mun could lift his head up higher, and was smiling for the first time.
By day four, Mun is shown walking around on his own, much to the amazement of his dad, who travelled with him.
Explaining his progress, Dr. Ian said: “You’ll notice he is walking ‘heel toe heel toe’ and taking long strides.”
Repeating the leg test, Dr. Ian asked Mun to say “now” whenever he felt the stick on his right leg – and he feels it every time.
On day seven, Dr Mun did one more spine correction, and Mun was standing noticeably taller.
Returning to the practice on day ten, Dr. Ian supports Mun while he stands tall and walks completely upright for the first time in months.
His father is so moved he breaks down in tears. Mun and his father returned home, and Mun was shown graduating from high school, something he thought he wouldn’t be able to do.
When Dr Ian Adjusted a New Born Baby for Colic Reflux
Even with his amazing success stories Dr Ian has face controversy and criticism for his work.
In 2016 he was called out for performing a ‘back cracking’ procedure to a new born baby who was suffering from colic and reflux.
The treatment was criticized for being ‘outlandish’ with ‘no scientific basis’ by the president of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Frank Jones.
Dr Ian defended his actions on live television saying: “I’ve been doing this for 20 years … if there was a problem somewhere, if there was any injury somewhere, I would know about it.”
“The pressure of my fingers, [it’s] just the end of my finger … the fingertip is directed to a very specific part of the child’s dysfunctional spine.”
Though, Dr Ian did admit that the chiropractic profession is ‘light on clinical trials’, but he was insistence his treatment methods and procedures are not damaging and something hewould even perform on his own children.
